The Eighth Annual Great Underwear Dance was held at Post 490 on December 4, 2005. Admission to the dinner and dance was one (or more) multi-packs of new undergarments, men's or women's. Over $4000 worth of underwear and socks were collected or purchased with donations. The Chairman of the event for the eighth year was John Evans.

The underwear and socks were donated directly to the Veterans at the Houston VA Hospital. On December 20, 2005, over 1000 pairs of underwear and socks were distributed to VA patients by individuals from Post 490. They were greatly appreciated. Makes you feel real good knowing that veterans are still helping veterans.
